It goes without saying that this is Ranbir’s highest grossing film. The actor has been garnering love for his spectacular performance. Finally, his dry spell has been broken. Along with him, actor Vicky Kaushal also received praises for perfectly playing the role of Kamli.
Sanju is based on the life of actor Sanjay Dutt. While some people are still saying that the film was just an attempt to whitewash the actor’s image, but box office numbers have given the verdict.
On a related note, the movie also featured Manisha Koirala, Sonam Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Boman Irani, Dia Mirza and Paresh Rawal in pivotal roles. Sanju was bankrolled by Vinod Chopra Films and Rajkumar Hirani Films in association with Fox Star Studios. It was released on June 29.
