Rajkumar Hirani’s directorial biopic on Sanjay Dutt titled Sanju featuring Ranbir Kapoor in lead role received thumbs up from audience nationwide. The film which released just five days back has set many records. On day 5 Sanju earned Rs 22.10 cr crore, which makes its total collection as Rs 167.51 crore. The movie is getting praises and appreciations not just from the critics, but numbers are continuously pouring from all corners. Till Day 5, the movie has already shattered many existing records and more earth-shattering numbers are expected in the upcoming days.
He took to micro-blogging site Twitter and wrote, "#Sanju continues its EPIC RUN... Shows INCREDIBLE TRENDING on weekdays... Eyes ₹ 200 cr+ in Week 1... Fri 34.75 cr, Sat 38.60 cr, Sun 46.71 cr, Mon 25.35 cr, Tue 22.10 cr. Total: ₹ 167.51 cr. India biz... Heading for BLOCKBUSTER status."
He also wrote, ‘’Too early to predict the *lifetime biz* of #Sanju... Will it surpass Hirani’s highest grosser #PK? Will it challenge #Dangal [highest *Hindi* grosser after #Baahubali2]? Much depends on how #Sanju fares in Week 2... It’s a wait-and-watch situation right now!’’
