Bollywood director Rajkumar Hirani and actor Ranbir Kapoor are creating magic at the box-office with Sanju. The Sanjay Dutt biopic, also featuring stars such as Paresh Rawal, Manisha Koirala and Anushka Sharma, has now crossed the coveted Rs 300 crore mark.  With this, the film has become the second Bollywood film of 2018 to enter 300 crore club after Sanjay Leela Bhsanali’s Padmaavat.

“Non-holiday... Non-festival release... #Sanju crosses ₹ 300 cr mark... Now eyeing the *lifetime biz* of #BajrangiBhaijaan, #TigerZindaHai and #PK... Nett BOC... India biz... ALL TIME BLOCKBUSTER”, trade analyst Taran Adarsh announced Sanju Box Office Collection Day 16 on Twitter.

Having opened to rave reviews from critics, Sanju’s opening weekend recorded Rs 120 crore and by the end of the first week itself, Sanju had crossed the Rs 200 crore mark.  Sanju is Ranbir Kapoor’s first 300 crore film.

Sanju is already in the list of top 10 highest grossing Bollywood films of all time. Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion, which created a new record with Rs 510 crore at the box office, is at No. 1 followed by two Aamir Khan films Dangal and PK while Sanju stands at No. 9 now.

The biopic on the life of one of Bollywood's most controversial actors, Sanjay Dutt, has got a thumbs up from fans. Ranbir, who has delivered the biggest hit of his career with Sanju, has earned much praise for his performance.

It has been 16 days since Ranbir's film hit the screens, but even now, the film is running to packed houses. It remains to be seen whether Sanju will continue its victory march, as Diljit Dosanjh's Soorma and Marvel's Ant Man and The Wasp have hit the cinemas last Friday.
