Sanju Box Office Collection Day 10: This Ranbir Kapoor, Rajkumar Hirani combo earns 265.48 crore

The Bollywood film Sanju starring Ranbir Kapoor is now the ninth highest grossing Hindi film of all times. The Sanjay Dutt, which hit the cinemas on June 29, has been weaving magic at the box office. After entering the coveted Rs 200 crore club in the seventh day if its opening, the Rajkumar Hirani directorial venture has crossed 250 crore mark on day 10 of its release. The biopic is not only raking in the moolah but also shattering several records at the box office each day.

Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh announced Sanju Box Office Collection Day 10 on social media. “"Sanju continues its REMARKABLE RUN... A SUPER-STRONG Weekend 2 adds to the MASSIVE TOTAL... Crosses ₹ 250 cr... Speeding towards ₹ 300 cr... [Week 2] Fri 12.90 cr, Sat 22.02 cr, Sun 28.05 cr. Total: ₹ 265.48 cr. India biz... O-U-T-S-T-A-N-D-I-N-G!‬”.

Sanju is the highest opening weekend grosser of 2018

Sanju minted Rs 120.06 crore on its first weekend and shattered the record of Race 3 (Rs 106.47 crore) and Padmaavat Rs (Rs 114 crore). Interestingly, the Ranbir Kapoor-starrer had enjoyed an opening weekend of five days as it was released on a Wednesday.

If we consider collections of the first three days, Sanju has shattered the records of many Bollywood biggies, including Sultan, Tiger Zinda Hai, Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Dangal. It has emerged as the second highest opening weekend of all time, after only Baahubali 2.

Highest weekend opener for Ranbir Kapoor

Even Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani, which is one of the best performing films for Ranbir, collected Rs 61.87 crore over the first weekend, as per Boxofficeindia. Besharam and PK, too, lag behind Sanju with Rs 32.29 crore and Rs 93.82 crore respectively as there first day earnings.

Sanju is also the biggest opener of Ranbir’s career. Besharam (2013) made an opening collection of Rs 21.56 crore and was his best number-spinner till date.

Besides Ranbir Kapoor, Sanju boasts of a huge star cast including Paresh Rawal, Manisha Koirala, Vicky Kaushal, Anushka Sharma, Boman Irani, Dia Mirza, Jim Sarbh, Sayaji Shinde and Sonam Kapoor.
