Actor Sanjay Dutt, who is currently shooting for his comeback film ‘Bhoomi’, has reportedly decided to postpone the release of the film to avoid clash with superstar Aamir Khan’s home production ‘Secret Superstar’.

Both the movies were initially scheduled for August 4 release.

If reports are to be believed then Sanjay wanted to avoid box office battle with ‘Secret Superstar’ as it could affect the business of both the films. The movie was written and directed by Sanjay’s former manager Advait Chauhan. Thus, it was being said that Sanjay had requested the producer to delay the release for a week.

The year started with a big clash between Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Raees’ and Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Kaabil’. Both the films managed to enter the 100-crore club, but the business of Hrithik starrer was affected. But, it seems that Sanjay is playing safe and didn’t want to face competition that can affect his film’s business.

Directed by Omung Kumar, ‘Bhoomi’ explores the beautiful father-daughter relationship. Along with Sanjay, the film also stars actress Aditi Rao Hyderi. Telly actor Sharad Kelkar will be seen playing an antagonist in the film. ‘Secret Superstar’ stars ‘Dangal’ actress Zaira Wasim. Aamir will be seen doing a cameo in the film.
