New Delhi: The Bollywood industry is witnessing a new trend these days, its inclination towards biopic.

So far, several biopics have been made starring Priyanka Chopra, Sonam Kapoor, Farhaan Akhtar, Irrfan Khan and several others.

And now we have another name to add on to the list – Ranbir Kapoor.

The actor will soon be playing the role of ‘Khalnayak’ Sanjay Dutt in his biopic. While the RK fans will be quite excited to see him in this role, the actor is putting in a lot of efforts for the character.

But apart from Ranbir, it’s Dutt himself who is most interested in the biopic. But he feels that it isn’t easy portraying him on the silver screen and it will be a tough job for Ranbir.

“It will be a problem for him because he will need to grow his hair out, get really lean at first and then beef up. It's a physically challenging role for any actor. Who said it was easy being me?” Sanjay Dutt reportedly told an entertainment portal.

According to a source close to the movie, “The first sequences to be shot are from the 1990s, when Sanjay acted in films like Thaanedar, Saajan, Gumrah, Khalnayak, Aatish, Safari and Kartoos. After that they will go back by a decade to the '80s, which will focus more on his personal life. There won't be any archival footage used though.”

The biopic, which will be helmed by Rajkumar Hirani, will go on the floors in October. Talking further about the movie, Sanjay revealed, “It will be a collaborative project between both our productions houses.”

We wonder, if Ranbir Kapoor will be able to justice to his role of playing Sanjay Dutt.

Currently, the ‘Barfi’ actor is busy with two of his upcoming movies – ‘Jagga Jasoos’ opposite Katrina Kaif and ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ opposite Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
