On Thursday, it was announced that Tiger Shroff’s Baaghi 2 is going to release on Marhc 30, 2018. Earlier, this date was occupied by Ranbir Kapoor’s Sanjay Dutt biopic. But on Friday, Fox Star Hindi announced a new schedule for the Rajkumar Hirani film. According to the announcement, Sanjay Dutt biopic is now scheduled to release on June 29. Manisha Koirala, who is playing Nargis Dutt in the film, also confirmed the news.
But the matter in question is that on June 29, two biopics are going to release. As per the current schedule, Diljit Dosanjh’s Soorma is also scheduled to release on the same day as Sanjay Dutt’s biopic. Ranbir Kapoor fans are rejoicing that the makers have waged a war against another upcoming biopic.
So its confirmed that Ranbir Kapoor’s Sanjay Dutt biopic is going to release with Diljit Dosanjh’s Soorma which is also a biopic on Hockey legend Sandeep Singh. While the release date of Sanjay Dutt biopic was released lately, but Diljit Dosanjh’s film release date was announced in November last year.
Recently, Bollywood averted another clash on January 26. Akshay Kumar’s social initiative based film Padman was earlier slated to release on Republic Day. But Neeraj Pandey’s Aiyaary which stars Sidharth Malhotra and Manoj Bajpayee is also hitting the silverscreen on the same day. To avert the clash, release of Padman has been re-scheduled to a day earlier. Now, Padman is releasing on January 25, 2017.
Talking about another big clash of the year, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati is tentatively scheduled to release on February 9. On the same day, Anushka Sharma’s home production is also slated to release. Let’s see how the filmmakers avert this clash of movies.
