Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar: Arjun Kapoor says learning new dialects is difficult

Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor who was last seen in Mubarakan,  will be seen playing a Haryanvi police officer in Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar opposite Parineeti Chopra. The actor recently said that  learning a new language is difficult. This is not the first time Arjun will be learning a new dialect. Previously, he picked up Bihari for the film "Half Girlfriend". Asked how easy or difficult is it to learn new languages for different films, Arjun told IANS over: "It is difficult. I have been saying this for the past last month. I have done more prep with Dibakar (Banerjee) sir than the shoot. My prep went on for three months and shoot for two months. That automatically shows you how much time we put in."

The actor, 32, further said: "I was in Delhi and spent time with the cops. I have spent time alot of time with the cops and their families, going for cadet training, meeting special force people... Dibakar Banerjee wanted me to dive into the character."

Arjun, son of Bollywood producer Boney Kapoor, made his acting foray with Ishaqzaade in 2012. He subsequently featured in Aurangzeb, Gunday, 2 States, Finding Fanny, Tevar, Ki & Ka, Half Girlfriend and Mubarakan, playing diverse roles.

In Dibakar Banerjee's Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, he plays a 30-year-old police constable from Haryana. Arjun has spent extensive amounts of time prepping for this role under Banerjee's supervision. He interacted with police recruits across all ranks in both the Delhi Police and Haryana police and also visited a training academy to witness all that goes into the making of a heartland police officer, read a statement from Yash Raj Films.
