It is no longer hidden that director Kabir Khan will not be helming the sequel of 2012 Salman Khan starrer movie ‘Ek Tha Tiger’. An official announcement by Yash Raj Films confirmed that the sequel will be directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. Though, Ali’s coming on board has been hailed by many, questions on why Kabir is not helming the movie have raised eyebrows.
A reason which has been reported by a leading entertainment portal behind Kabir quitting is that he doesn’t believe in sequels. The report said that Kabir is against making a sequel of the movie to cash on the popularity of the first instalment. He feels that until the plot is amazing, a sequel should be avoided.
Reportedly, Kabir Khan also opted out of this project starring his close friend Salman Khan because he wants to have a say in budget management and allocation. After delivering hits, Kabir wants to be the Line Producer of the movie. Now the production house YRF doesn’t follow any such policy so Kabir was dropped from the movie.
