New Delhi: A few days ago superstar Salman Khan gave his fans a huge reason to rejoice. He eased the anxiety of his ardent fans when he released the trailer of his highly awaited film ‘Sultan’. The trailer has been well received by the viewers and it got 5 million views in just 24 hours.
This points out that the wait till Eid, when the film releases, it going to be difficult for many. But, all this frenzy surrounding ‘Sultan’ has made one person scared. It is the director Ali Abbas Zafar.
Ali, while interacting to a leading daily said that since people are expecting so much from the film, he is scared to not live up to their expectations.
He said, “
People have made this film so big with their expectations that I am scared. People are talking about big numbers and talking about it in the same breath as Bajrangi Bhaijaan. My worry is that I don't let Salman (Khan) down. He should not feel that I wasted his time.”
With this statement, looks like Ali is really getting cold feet before the release. He also went on to explain why he feels this way when it comes to Salman. He revealed about the tough training that the superstar went through to get into the skin of the trailer.
“We got in touch with AD 7-11 - they have done all the major martial arts films, from 300 to every big action film that you know. I met one action choreographer there -Lard - and took him through the story. We locked them down and I told them that one of the biggest stars in the country will enact that role. They Googled him and said, 'WOW he is huge,' and they were all very excited,” said Ali revealing how he managed to bring in the best from the industry for his dream project.

Ali went on,
“I said my actor is very excited about the project, too, but he won't be able to come here and train. So, six people travelled from LA and spent almost three-and-a-half months at his farm training him. Luckily, because the kind of excitement level Salman has, he loves all that as he is still a boy a heart. He trained every day for three hours. He got thrown around, kicked and punched. But within three months he was kicking, punching and doing all those things like a pro. They put him into a perfect regimen of what he has to eat and how much he has to gain etc.”
From Ali’s statements it is evident that Salman did put his heart and soul in the film and somewhere we can understand his nervousness. But, given the power packed trailer, trade experts don’t have an inch of doubt that the film will be a blockbuster. So, Ali can take a chill pill.
