New Delhi: Eid release ‘Sultan’ has proven out to be the biggest release of superstar Salman Khan’s career. The movie has won not only accolades from the audiences and critics alike, but is also minting crores at the box office.
While the entire ‘Sultan’ team has get into the celebration mode after the gala success of the movie, an amusing piece of information is doing the rounds of media.
The buzz is that Salman Khan was not the first choice to play the role of Sultan Ali Khan in the movie.
Director Ali Abbas Zafar had reportedly discussed ‘Sultan’ with Arjun Kapoor before approaching Salman Khan. But Arjun excused himself out, saying he wasn’t very keen on the subject of wrestling.

Now that ‘Sultan’ is on a record-breaking spree, we wonder if Arjun Kapoor is regretting his decision of saying no to the director who gave him a film like ‘Gunday’.
Though interestingly, there is no official confirmation about the same from the director or the ‘Ki and Ka’ actor.
However, when an entertainment portal mailed to the production house –Yash Raj Films to know the reality, they poured cold water on the hot news saying “there is no truth to this at all”.
