New Delhi: Superstar Salman Khan’s ‘Sultan’ is showing no signs of slowing down at the box office. After smashing old records and creating new, ‘Sultan’ has now crossed the Rs 500 crore mark in just 12 days. The production house of the movie Yash Rah Films shared this new with a new poster.

By earning such a hefty amount, ‘Sultan’ has become the fourth movie to go past the Rs 500 crore mark; the other three movies being ‘Dhoom 3’, ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ and ‘PK’. What is more celebratory is that all ‘Sultan’ took was 12 days to reach this mark, whereas the other movies took a comparatively longer time.
Even Salman’s last Eid release, the blockbuster movie ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ touched the Rs 500 crores mark in 24 days. Superstar Aamir Khan’s ‘Dhoom 3’ which hit theatres on December 20, 2013, achieved this feat in 31 days. ‘PK’, also an Aamir Khan starrer added this feather to its cap in 17 days.

The aforementioned statistics justify that ‘Sultan’ is indeed the biggest hit Hindi film industry has seen over the few years.
As a wrestler from a Haryana village, Salman Khan connected with the viewers really well. The movie which chronicled the rise and fall of Sultan Ali Khan had all elements to leave an impact on cine buffs. It was high on emotion, love, drama, fights, heartbreak and survival which contributed towards making it an All Time Blockbuster.
Not only Salman, the entire cast garnered praises for their hard hitting performances. The leading lady of the movie Anushka Sharma too made for a strong onscreen wrestler. The movie also had actors Randeep Hooda and Amit Sadh in pivotal roles.
