New Delhi: Superstar Salman Khan’s ‘Sultan’ has started nothing less than a storm at the box office, since its release on 6th July. The movie has been on a record breaking spree for the last few days. After seeing amazing openings, Sultan has now earned Rs 200 crores in just a matter of six days and entered in All Time Bollywood Block Busters (ATBB).

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted this and also added that with these collections ‘Sultan’ has become an ATBB.

For those who are not familiar with the term ATBB, we have a definition. Movies which change the course of Hindi cinema and bring the makers to an all together new level are considered as ATBBs. Most of the ATBB movies go on to become classics and ‘Sultan’ too has joined the list now.

However, this is not the first movie of Salman Khan to be declared an ATBB. His 1994 release ‘Hum Aapke Hai Koun’ and 2010 movie ‘Dabangg’ too are considered ATBBs by trade experts. While HAHK had a lifetime collection of Rs 70 crores, ‘Dabangg’ minted Rs 143 crores. Both these movies redefined Salman Khan as an actor.

On one hand HAHK established him as a lover boy and on the other in ‘Dabangg’ we saw how he single handedly punished the guilty. In ‘Sutlan’, Salman again pushed the boundary and amused audience with his role of a wrestler.

Fans of Bhaijaan are obviously elated to see their favourite star’s movie do such a tremendous business at the box office. As soon as the news came that ‘Sultan’ has earned Rs 200 crores, the hashtag #SultanCreatingHistory started trending on Twitter. Check out the few tweets of Salman’s die hard fans.

It would not be flattering to say that ‘Sultan’ will continue its ‘dhobi pachad’ at the box office will continue for long now.
