New Delhi: We all know that Salman Khan and Ranbir Kapoor have always been at loggerheads and it is believed that Katrina Kaif has been the reason behind this animosity.
The diva was said to be dating Salman Khan in her early days. However, soon she got involved with Ranbir Kapoor.
It was reported that Salman is miffed with Ranbir for sneaking away his lady love and that is why the two doesn’t share a cordial relation.
However, as per the media reports, Katrina is not the sole reason behind Salman-Ranbir’s silent war. In fact, the tiff between the two has begun long before the ‘Fitoor’ actress had entered their lives.
It has been reported that Salman Khan had once slapped Ranbir Kapoor publicly at a party.
The incident took place when the ‘Barfi’ actor was yet to make his debut on the silver screen. Reportedly, the two actors had met each other during a party at a renowned pub. It was then that Salman and Ranbir got into war of words. Soon, their verbal fight took and ugly turn and the ‘Ready’ actor ended up slapping RK in front of everyone.
While Ranbir felt embarrassed at that moment, he left the party instantly. It was also reported that Salman’s father Salim Khan approached Rishi Kapoor with an apology, later.
While it’s been several years since the incident took place, Salman and Ranbir still continue to have a cold war and later Katrina’s involvement made the matter worse.
Probably, this is the reason why Ranbir still avoids facing Salman Khan despite not being with Katrina anymore.
Currently, Ranbir Kapoor is busy shooting for his forthcoming movie ‘Jagga Jasoos’ opposite ex-flame Katrina Kaif while Salman Khan is gearing up for the release of ‘Sultan’.
