Superstar Salman Khan’s sister Arpita Khan Sharma faced an act of burglary when cash and valuables worth Rs 3.25 lakh were stolen from her plush Pacific Heights apartment on Sherly Rajan Road in Bandra (West) house recently.
The police, reportedly, have detained Arpita’s domestic help, Afsa Khan on the charges of stealing.
As per media reports, the couple Aayush and Arpita realized the burglary on August 21 when the 35-year-old maid failed to report to work since Saturday.
The domestic help used to stay with Arpita and took care of all household chores, said the police.

Arpita and Aayush have lodged a complaint after which Police started the investigation. They spoke to Arpita’s driver and other domestic help working in nearby apartments to know about the whereabouts of the accused.
Police then traced her to her home in Nalasopara from where she was nabbed, a leading daily reported quoting senior inspector Ramchandra Jadhav, Khar police station.
Notably, Afsa Khan’s name was not registered with the police; however, she has been working at Arpita’s home from past one and half years.
