Salman Khan’s Tiger Zinda Hai becomes second highest openers of 2017, Baahubali 2 remains at top!

Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif’s Tiger Zinda Hai, which released on silverscreens this Friday, is already soaring high. The film has received rave reviews from the critics across the country and when it came to box office, it’s success saw no limits. Tiger Zinda Hai is being loved by the critics and the first day collection of the movie is a justifiable proof. On its opening, the film minted Rs 33.75 crore and is likely to break records in the coming few days.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted about another record this Salman Khan-starrer has set. According to him, the film has become has second biggest opener of the year, while Baahubali 2 maintains its top spot. He wrote:

Tiger Zinda Hai made an extraordinary start at the box office. On its first day, the film managed to rake in Rs 33.75 crore in India across 4600 screens. Taran Adarsh wrote: Tiger ROARS... Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, Tiger Zinda Hai features Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif together after a gap of 5 years. The film is a sequel to 2012 hit Ek Tha Tiger. It was directed by Kabir Khan, unlike its sequel. Ek Tha Tiger released in 2012 to mind-boggling figures of Rs 32.92 crore. It became the highest opener ever, back then. It also became the fastest film to rake in Rs 100 crore at that point. We’ll have to wait for some more time to see if Tiger Zinda Hai manages to break all the records set by its predecessor Ek Tha Tiger.
