New Delhi: India’s shooting champion Abhinav Bindra has been appointed as the Rio Olympics Goodwill ambassador. The announcement has spread the confusion that may be Abhinav Bindra has replaced Salman Khan, who was declared as the first ambassador.
The fresh reports suggest that both Salman and Abhinav will represent India at the international sporting event. Now IOA is inviting more representatives to become the goodwill ambassadors to help get a farther outreach. Sachin Tendulkar and A.R. Rahman are approached for the same.
This afternoon Sachin gave his nod to the proposal.

Now, as Abhinav Bindra has joined him in the club, Salman Khan has come forward to laud the move.
The ‘Sultan’ actor tweeted to share his excitement. He posted a picture of Abhinav Bindra and said, “Three cheers for @Abhinav_Bindra,Olympic gold medalist & India’s Goodwill Ambassador #RioOlympics2016 #MakeIndiaProud.”
Notably, Abhinav Bindra had too applauded Salman’s selection saying, “In their pursuit towards excellence. Congratulations on being appointed ambassador of the Indian Olympic Team! @BeingSalmanKhan.”
