Putting all the speculations to rest, Abbas-Mustan has confirmed that superstar Salman Khan is not a part of the third installment of the ‘Race’ franchise.
The makers have stated that while the makers are yet to finalize the cast of ‘Race 3’, they haven’t approached Salman for the movie. However, they also emphasized that the director duo is keen to work with the ‘Sultan’ actor.
They further mentioned that the script of ‘Race 3’ is under process and that the director duo Abbas-Mustan too hasn’t gone through it so far.
The makers have stated to announce the cast and details of ‘Race 3’ in the coming year.
Interestingly, the first two installments of the franchise did a decent business at the box office.
The first installment was released in 2008 which featured Saif Ali Khan, Bipasha Basu, Akshaye Khanna and Anil Kapoor in key roles.
Besides, the cast of ‘Race 2’ had an ensemble of Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, John Abraham and Jacqueline Fernandez.
Only time will reveal if the makers will retain any of the previous stars or ‘Race 3’ will be made with a fresh star cast.
