New Delhi: This morning crooner of many hit songs Arijit Singh courted controversy with superstar Salman Khan. Arijit posted a public apology, in which he requested Salman to not crop the song he sang for ‘Sultan’. However, later he deleted the post and there has been no response yet from the ‘Sultan’ star.
There is no concrete information about the reason of brawl between the superstar and the singer. And all we can know from Arjit Singh’s letter is that he rubbed Salman Khan the wrong way which apparently offended the superstar.
However, this is not the first time when Salman ran into trouble with people from the music fraternity. In the past Salman’s bitter bond with musicians Himesh Reshammiya, Sonu Nigam and A.R. Rahman had made it to the headlines.
Here is a look at those past controversies:
1. Himesh Reshammiya:
Salman played Godfather to Himesh Reshammiya by launching him with ‘Tere Naam’. The music director had given music to many of Salman’s movies and the both had high regards for each other. Then in 2009, Salman made remarks about Himesh’s nasal twang and singing in Sa re Ga Ma Pa, a show Himesh judged. This irked Reshammiya and he went on a ‘boycott Salman’ spree.
However, he realised soon that it will only harm him and buried the hatchet with Bhaijaan. Himesh is back to composing music for Salman and treats him as his ‘messiah’.

2. Sonu Nigam:
This controversy broke when Salman at an event said that these days Bollywood does not need playback singers as actors can sing for themselves. Sonu, who was also present at the event begged to differ and defended singers.
But, Sonu had later denied any bitterness with Salman on his social media page post the event.
Apparently, the ‘Hangover’ song from Kick to which Salman lent his voice was initially a project of Sonu Nigam.
3. A.R Rahman
The Oscar winning music composer had sent a legal notice to Salman Khan for using his trademark ‘Jai Ho’ for his movie titled the same; resulting in a huge fallout. Salman then added fuel to the controversy when at an event he said, “Rahman, aap sab ko pata hai ki average hai.” The music composer was at that point standing next to Salman on the same dias and was particularly upset. He even refused to shake hands with Bhaijaan.
Later, Salman asked Rahman if he would compose a song for him to which he replied, he would if Salman make films he likes.
