The filmmakers of Salman Khan’s Kick 2 have locked Christmas 2019 for the release. The official account of production company Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment on Wednesday confirmed the news that the second instalment on of Kick franchise will be hitting the screens on Christmas next year.
Tweeting the news, they wrote, “The wait is over! Devil is back! Sajid Nadiadwala's 'Kick 2' starring Salman Khan releases Christmas 2019."
Not much of the details of the film has been revealed. The makers have kept everything else except the male lead under wraps for certain reasons. However, the sources have revealed that all the actors of Kick will be retained for Kick 2 as well.
"Kick", which starred Salman, Randeep Hooda, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Jacqueline Fenandez released in 2014. It was directed by Sajid Nadiadwala. The movie was an official remake of the 2009 Telugu movie "Kick" and Tamil movie "Thillalangadi".
Talking about Salman Khan, the actor just wrapped the Mumbai schedule of his upcoming film Race 3. He will also resume work on Bharat, which is helmed by the Tiger Zinda Hai director Ali Abbas Zafar. It is slated to release on Eid 2019. After locking the Eid, now the Bajrangi Bhaijaan has moved to Christmas 2019.
