Salman Khan found guilty in blackbuck case, celebs react

B-town celebs have extended their support to superstar Salman Khan.

Superstar Salman Khan has been found guilty in the 1998 blackbuck poaching case. He is sentenced to five-year jail term with a fine of Rs 10,000 whereas his Hum Saath Saath Hai co-stars Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Sonali Bendre and Neelam have been acquitted. This indeed came as a big shock for all Bollywood celebs. From Jaya Bachchan to Bigg Boss 11 winner Shilpa Shinde, B-town stars and many TV personalities are sad with the court’s decision.

Jaya Bachchan said, “I feel bad. He should be given relief. He has done a lot of humanitarian work.”

Filmmaker Subhash Ghai tweeted, “I am extremely shocked to hear @BeingSalmanKhan being convicted by session court but  also having full trust in indian judiciary which has many other doors to appeal for final justice whatsoever. Since He is most loved person by industry N people for his human reasons too.”

Naved Jafri took to micro-blogging site Twitter and wrote, “Extremely saddened by hearing about @BeingSalmanKhan , I have full faith in the law, and I hope they get lenient on behalf of the great humanitarian work that he is doing. #Salman Khan #WeSupportSalmanKhan #BlackBuckPoachingCase.”

Arjun Rampal tweeted, “The law takes its course. Can’t argue it. But at this point in time I just feel helpless and my heart goes out to @BeingSalmanKhan and his family. Reason, cause the last thing @BeingSalmanKhan is, is a criminal.I feel this is too harsh. I do hope he gets the relief he deserves.”

Bigg Boss 11 winner Shilpa Shinde tweeted, “How many tigers have been poached and what's the status of Justice on that. How many jungles have been cut down in the name of development, isn't it leading to wildlife killing. Punishing a good human being is not acceptable.”

Tamannah Bhatia said, "We all Love Salman Khan. But the law has its own course. We have to respect that."

For the uninitiated, Salman and his Hum Saath Saath Hai co-stars, were accused of poaching blackbucks while shooting the film in Jodhpur.

On the professional front, the superstar is occupied with the work of Race 3.
