Starring superstar Salman Khan ‘Dabangg’ and ‘Dabangg 2’ have been two of the most successful movies of Bollywood.
Released in 2010 and 2012 respectively, both the movies did a commendable business at the box office and entered the coveted Rs 100 crore club.
And now the third instalment of the franchise is creating a lot of buzz.
Recently, ‘Dabangg 3’ made it to the headlines after it was reported that actress Sonakshi Sinha won’t be a part of the movie unlike its previous instalments.
While the speculations are on about Sonakshi’s involvement in Dabangg 3’, it has been reported that the makers are planning to have two female leads in the movie.
In fact, according to the gossip mongers, Arbaaz has even approached Kajol for the movie.
Reportedly, Khan wants Kajol to play villain opposite Salman.
Interestingly, if this happens Kajol will be sharing the screen space with the ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ star after 18 years. It was in 1998 that the two had worked together in ‘Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya’.
While the reports did raise the curiosity amongst the fans, a source close to the development has something else to say.
“Kajol has a knack for refusing good films like she had refused 3 Idiots. She had told a shocked Rajkumar Hirani to make her role as strong as Aamir Khan. Now, Kajol turned down Dabangg 3 because she wants as strong a role with the main lead Salman Khan. It is learnt that she told Arbaaz the film can’t have two Khans,” a source reportedly told a leading daily.
On the other hand, Arbaaz has refuted the reports of any such conversation with Kajol.
Arbaaz also mentioned that the script of ‘Dabangg 3’ isn’t ready yet. However, he stated that the movie will go on floors by end of 2017.
