New Delhi: Superstar Salman Khan has reportedly signed a whopping deal of Rs 1000 crore with a TV channel for the telecast rights of his next 10 releases, plus his appearances on the channel.

This report has come amid the blockbuster run of Salman’s Eid release ‘Sultan’ which has garnered over Rs 200 crore in just seven days. Interestingly, ‘Sultan’ is his tenth consecutive release of Salman Khan to enter the Rs 100 crore club.

While these humongous figures have made him the undisputed king of ‘Box Office, the latest news about Sallu signing Rs 1000 crore deal with a channel proves that he has taken over the idiot box as well.

As per a report published by a leading daily, Kabir Khan’s Tubelight and Raj Kumar Santoshi’s next are two of the 10 movies being signed in this mind-boggling deal.

Did Iulia Vantur ‘ban’ the entry of Salman Khan’s female friends at Galaxy?

“Salman’s past few releases have all been blockbusters — Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, for example — channels are willing to pay him triple the amount to air his films and have his presence grace their shows — be it reality shows or sports-based programmes. He recently re-negotiated his earlier contract with the same channel,” the daily reported quoting a trade source.

With this staggering amount, the ‘Sultan’ star has once again taken the ‘highest deal’ crown from Hrithik Roshan who recently signed Rs 550 crore deal for his six movies, including Kaabil.

By doing so, the Krrish actor had beaten Salman who previously had a Rs 500 crore deal for his films. But now ‘Sultan’ star has gained back his numero uno position with Rs 1000 crore deal.

If this was not enough to make your head reel in amazement, the reports in media further say that this deal might go even higher. As Salman’s recent release ‘Sultan’ is doing groundbreaking business, YRF and the channel might re-negotiate for a higher amount.

“In such cases, if the production house wants to be paid more, it can pay off the channel by giving it a certain amount and then selling the movie rights to the highest bidder as a one-off deal,” the source was quoted by the leading daily.

Wahoo! Salman Khan seems to have turned into ‘Midas’, as everything he is touching is turning into gold.

Though, it would be interesting to see if the two other Bollywood Khans – Shah Rukh and Aamir will come close to Salman anytime soon.
