Chitrangada Singh in Sahen Biwi Aur Gangster 3 new song Lag Ja Gale
Looks like Bollywood has taken it upon itself revamp every iconic song into a newer remixed version that fits the modern era. After Madhuri Dixit’s Ek Do Teen, the makers of Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 3 have re-created Woh Kaun Thi's classic song 'Lag Ja Gale'. While the original has no comparisons, the newer version is also a treat to the ears.
The song is a promotional music video featuring the three ladies- Mahie Gill, Chitrangada Singh, and Jonita Gandhi. While Mahie and Chitrangada have lip-synced in the song occasionally, Jonita has given her soulful voice to the recreated version. It is shot in a studio and introduces both the leading ladies of the film. Director of the song, Bittu Arora shared in an interview, "The song has been shot in today's time, but I have kept the feel of both the characters in the film. Chitrangda is lively, while Mahie is both black and white, so there is an undercurrent of emotions flowing in the video. In fact, Mahie broke down spontaneously in the song without using glycerine. Chitrangda looks breathtakingly beautiful in the song."

Mahie Gill also revealed that the song is played in the movie when the ‘biwi’ is drunk and sad. The song definitely resonates with the feel of the film and speaks loud about the rushing emotions one feels when sad in love.
Directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia, the film stars Sanjay Dutt, Chitrangada Singh, Deepraj Rana, Soha Ali Khan, Nafisa Ali, Kabir Bedi and Deepak Tijori in pivotal roles. Jimmy Sheirgill plays the saheb, Mahie Gill will be seen as his wife with Sanjay Dutt as a gangster. It will hit the screen on July 27.
