Actor Sanjay Dutt and filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt are teaming up for the sequel of 1991 hit Sadak. In an interview to a leading daily, the ace director stated that the story has an emotional connect adding that people who were present during the narration were moved by the script. Pooja, on the other hand said that the film will have Sanjay in every frame.
Mumbai Mirror was quoted Mahesh as saying, “Sanjay who was 32 when we made the original, comes back as a 54-year-old Ravi into the 21st century world that is collapsing in front of his eyes, where the distinction between the house and the ‘sadak’ is fast disappearing.”
Pooja shared a cute picture of Mahesh and Sanjay on the social networking site Instagram. She captioned it as, “And the smile says it all! Thank you @maheshfilm for the most heartfelt screenplay with a narration to match! #Sadak2 is certainly your ode to @duttsanjay if ever there was one! This story immortalises Ravi and especially his overwhelming love for Pooja... a much needed love story for the ‘unfeeling’ times we live in! #Sadak2 #puresoul.”
The actress said that the film is her father’s ode to Sanjay and clarified that Alia Bhatt is not going to feature in it.
