The audience response on its first day was impressive enough to say that the movie has managed to create a mark among masses. Every cricket follower, varying from a 18-year old lad to a 50 year old man were seen with tricolor-painted cheeks and jersey no. 10 in the movie halls. The huge crowd at the multiplexes on the day of its release elucidates that Sachin needs no publicity or promotions, the name in itself is enough.
Apart from the audience reactions, the box office numbers are also singing about the remarkable success of the biopic. It managed to sack INR 8.40 crore on its opening day. Now considering it’s a documentary-drama film, these numbers are quite flattering and signifies a huge success of the film.

Last week, the romantic-drama film ‘Half Girlfriend’ raked in INR 10.27 crore on its opening and Irrfan Khan starrer ‘Hindi Medium’ earned INR 2.50 crore on its very first day.
