New Delhi: Miracles are a rare sight in this modern age and when it happens it definitely makes it to the news. Nothing short of a miracle happened when a US woman who was blind for 20 years got her eyesight back. Mary Ann Franco, 70, hit her head at her home in Florida and got her eyesight back.
While this incident has got medical science baffled, our Bollywood celebs seem not much intrigued. Actors Rishi Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh took to Twitter too express that a miracle of this kind happened in Bollywood ages ago.
Chintu Kapoor drew the reference of the cult classic ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’. For those of you who don’t know, in this Manmohan Desai’s movie, Nirupa Roy who played the mother, got her eyesight back during a Sai Puja.

Riteish too thought on the same lines when he tweeted that Hindi film industry found this miracle long time ago. This is his tweet:
Well, we can no longer make fun of Bollywood flicks and their miracles.

While speaking to media, Mary said,
“I was fully blind – all I could see was blackness. I was in my living room, going over to the door. My foot caught on a tile, and it flipped me. I hit my head in the back, and hit it on something else, maybe the fireplace,” she added.
“The restoration of Mary Ann Franco’s vision is a true miracle,” Neurosurgeon Dr John Afshar said. “I really don’t have a scientific explanation for it.”
True miracle! Isn’t it?
