Ranveer Singh is currently busy preparing for his next project, Kabir Khan's 83. The movie based on India's historic Cricket World Cup victory in 1983 has Ranveer playing the lead role of Kapil Dev. Since last couple of weeks, Ranveer and Kabir Khan have been giving us a glimpse of the team's cricket training in Dharamshala with the legendary players and now, the actor has announced the release date. It was already known that the movie is scheduled to release in April next year but now the date has been confirmed.
83 will release next year on Good Friday, which is falling on April 10. The actor shared a video on Instagram announcing the release date. ''The incredible untold story of India’s greatest victory! 10th April 2020- Good Friday #Relive83 @83thefilm @kabirkhankk,'' he captioned the clip.
In the clip, the 83 team can be seen honing their cricketing skills to get into the skin of the characters. In the video, Ranveer can be seen saying, ''Tomorrow Kapil sir is coming. You better look like you know how to play cricket!". While Ranveer is seen practising with Kapil, Saqib Saleem with Mohinder Amarnath while Ammy Virk learns how to spin balls with Balwinder Singh Sandhu.
For the last leg of the training, the team was in the picturesque town of Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh. Director Kabir Khan had told Mirror, ''It’s a cricket boot camp at the beautiful Kangra stadium up in the mountains. We will live together and train like a cricket team for the next 10 days. Many of the players from the original squad will also be here to train the actors''. The movie will be extensively shot in England and India.

The team will now head to London in May for 100-day schedule. In 83, Harrdy Sandhu, Jiiva, Addinath M Kothare and Sahil Khattar will also be seen in important roles.
