Remember the Ram Kapoor and Priya from Sony TV’s much popular show ‘Bade Acche Lagte Hain’? Well, the couple, played by Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar, became one of the most adored jodi on screen and one couldn’t just get enough of it. All thanks to Balaji Telefilms head honcho Ekta Kapoor.
Well, this super cute couple is all set to make a comeback for Balaji, however this time it will be a for a web series.
Ekta Kapoor has recently announced her digital project ALT Balaji and the first show on this app featuring Ram and Sakshi will be one of a kind.
As per media reports, the web series will be a bold show in which Sakshi Tanwar will be seen playing the role of a counsellor, where as Ram Kapoor will portray a superstar who has been ditched by his wife. Ram will meet Sakshi for counselling post his separation with wife and this encounter will their life.
The reports also suggest that this web series will have several double meaning dialogues, which couldn’t be used on television.
Talking about ALT Balaji, Ekta had earlier stated that she would be breaking the stereotypes of storytelling with this digital app and could make stuff she could never make for television.
Well, the soap queen of Indian Television has always been one of the trendsetters in the industry, be it with her saas-bahu shows like ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’, Kasauti Zindagi Ki’ etc, to venturing into movies with bold topic like ‘Dirty Picture’, ‘Kya Kool Hain Hum’, etc.
Looks like the soap queen of Indian Television is keen to stand true to her words once again.
Notably, Ekta Kapoor was the one who went on to show an unusual love story between a young lady and a middle-aged man in ‘Bade Acche Lagte Hain’. In fact, the show even created a history when it aired the longest love making scene on Indian television.
We wonder, if Ram and Sakshi along with Ekta will be able to recreate their magic in this web series.
The lead pair is said to be going for a photoshoot this week, and will shot for the web series in one go owing to their respective professional commitments.
The digital app ALT Balaji will be launched early next year.
