Hansal Mehta, Rajkummar Rao and Nushrat Bharucha
The hit duo of Bollywood Hansal Mehta and Rajkummar Rao are all set to collaborate again but this time for a comedy Turram Khan. After churning out critically acclaimed movies like Shahid, Aligarh, CityLights, Mehta and Rao have collaborated again for an out-and-out social comedy. Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety actress Nushrat Bharucha has been roped in to play the female lead.

Set in a small town of Uttar Pradesh, the filming will reportedly begin by the end of this year. Announcing about this project, Hansal Mehta wrote, ''Finally a comedy! #TurramKhan with my favorite @rajkummar_rao and the talented @nushratbharucha! It's like making my debut all over again. Excited to collaborate with @ajaydevgn #LuvRanjan @gargankur82 @turramkhan #ADFFilms @luv_films''.
Turram Khan will be produced by Ajay Devgn and Luv Ranjan. The duo has also collaborated for a film that will be directed by Ranjan and feature Devgn along with Ranbir Kapoor. Rajkummar Rao and Hansal Mehta's last film based on the terrorist Omar Syed Sheikh was neither well received by critics nor did it perform well at the box office. On the other hand, Rao and Nushrat have known each other since their audition days. They even made their debut together with Dibakar Banerjee's Luv Sex Aur Dhokha.

Rao said that he trusts Hansal Mehta blindly and he also knows Nushrat, hence he believes that it will be a fun collaboration. ''Turram Khan is a comedy that the audience will take back home. Hansal sir has played an instrumental role in my career. He has created some interesting and memorable characters for me, and I trust him blindly. Also, I have known Nushrat since our days of attending auditions and screen tests. So, I am sure that this is going to be a fun collaboration,'' he said.
On a related note, Rajkummar Rao is currently basking in the success of his latest release Stree co-starring Shraddha Kapoor. The horror comedy has so far minted over Rs 82 crore and its business is expected to increase in the coming week. Rao will next be seen in Ek Ladki Ko Dekha To Aisa Laga,co-starring Sonam Kapoor, Anil Kapoor and Juhi Chawla.
