Rajkummar Rao and Mouni Roy’s Made in China goes on floor

Rajkummar Rao is on a heart-winning spree. After delivering a box office hit Stree, Rajkummar Rao has started shooting for the upcoming film Made In China on Tuesday in Ahmedabad. The film also stars Gold actress Mouni Roy in an important role. The Bareilly Ki Barfi actor took to Twitter to announce his new journey with Dinesh Vijan. He wrote, “A new beginning. #MadeInChina starts filming today. Mark the date, releases on 15th August 2019!"

Also starring Mouni Roy as Rao's wife, the flick is based on the life of a struggling Gujarati businessman (Rajkummar Rao), who embarks on a journey to China in order to make his business flourish. The hilarious journey and several lessons help the 'Omerta' star to become a successful entrepreneur.

The film will be directed by National Award-winner Mikhil Musale, who won award for his 2016 drama-thriller 'Wrong Side Raju'. Meanwhile, Dinesh Vijan of 'Hindi Medium' fame will produce the flick. It will hit the theaters next year on Independence Day.  

On the other hand, Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor-starrer Stree is slowly inching towards the coveted Rs 100-crore mark at the box office. In its 11 days of run, the Amar Kaushik-directorial has raked in Rs 85.60 crore at the domestic box office. Also starring Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurrana and Vijay Raaz, the film revolves around the urban legend of Nale Ba of Karnataka.

Also, Rajkummar Rao and Nargis Fakhri’s 5 weddings is slated to hit the screens on September 21, clashing with Batti Gul Meter Chalu. The flick will show Nargis Fakhri as a writer, who is given the task of writing an article on Indian weddings. She then travels to India, where, Rajkummar Rao, a cop, is assigned the responsibility of escorting her. Fakhri travels to Punjab to attend weddings.
