Filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani has given many successful films. After ‘Munnabhai MBBS’ and ‘Lage Raho Munna Bhai’ became blockbusters, people were eagerly waiting for the third series of the franchise. Though the film was announced after the second instalment but the makers didn’t find good scripts and later the lead actor Sanjay Dutt was also sentenced to 3 years of jail. Now, Hirani has confirmed that the film is on cards.
Hirani revealed to a leading daily that he had five half-written scripts but he wanted to make the third part better than the first two. He further stated that he wanted a convincing script to make the film.
Rajkumar said, “I could've taken any of them and released another film, knowing people would watch it. But I don't want to make a Munna Bhai which is not as good, if not better, than the previous two.”
“I'm going to make just one more after which someone else can take the franchise forward and it has to be equally good,” he added.
The director also revealed that the movie will hit the screens in 2018 and this will be the last instalment of the highly popular series.
The director is currently busy with the work of Sanjay Dutt’s biopic that features actor Ranbir Kapoor in a lead. The script of Manna Bhai’s third part is in process and Abhijat Joshi is writing it.
Well this indeed great news for all movie buffs.
The film will feature Sanjay as goon and Arshad Warsi as circuit. Needless to say both the actors will surely give another hit film to the audience.
