Rajinikanth left Kaala shoot to go to US for a medical check-up

Superstar Rajinikanth, who has completed the first schedule shooting of his upcoming film Kaala, has left for US for a medical check-up. A source revealed that the actor is fine and went for a regular check-up. He is accompanied by his daughter Aishwarya. Kaala marks the collaboration of the superstar with Kabali director Pa. Ranjith. The movie also stars actor Nana Patekar.

"Rajini sir left to the US with his daughter Aishwarya last night (Wednesday). He has gone for a regular medical checkup. They will be back in mid-July," a source close to the actor told IANS.

The source clarified that Rajinikanth is "absolutely fine".

The 67-year-old will return to the sets of "Kaala", in which he plays a slum-lord-turned-gangster, in July.

Recently, both Rajini and Nana were clicked on the sets of the film and the picture went viral. The film also features Huma Qureshi, Anjali Patil, Pankaj Tripathi, Samuthirakani and Sakshi Aggarwal in pivotal roles. The project is being produced by Dhanush.
