They say ‘You are as big a star as your last flop’, but superstar Rajinikanth defies all these dynamics. His last two release ‘Lingaa’ and ‘Kochadaiiyaan’, did not do great in terms of box office collections, but it failed to lessen the star power which emanates from this 65 years old superstar.
As it turns out, a Rajinikanth movie is less about box office collections but more about fans, craze, madness, music, dance, music, high priced tickets and all that. With his latest release ‘Kabali’, things haven’t changed much.
It is this fan frenzy which can be seen on the streets of Chennai. At ground zero, the mood is no less than a celebration. Huge cut outs of Rajinikanth have been erected across the city, few fans have got ‘Kabali’ embossed on their hair, others wore the ‘Kabali’ T-shirt and the rest danced on drum beats till they could.

All of this just to show the love for ‘Thalaivar’!
In ‘Kabali’, the Southern superstar plays the role of Thaleesvaram who becomes a don to fight for the rights of Tamils in Malaysia. The movie features Radhika Apte has his wife. People who watched the first shows came out impressed from the halls.
