After the release date of PadMan was announced, speculations were rife that Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer 2.0 will be postponed. It is because both the films have Akshay in the lead roles. Earlier, 2.0 was supposed to release in December 2017 but was later shifted to January 26 and then April 2018. But now it seems that Rajinikanth's fans have to wait a bit longer because the much-awaited movie has been postponed by two to three months more.
"@superstarrajini – @akshaykumar's #2Point0 release will not happen in April.. The release is most likely to be postponed by 2 to 3 months”, South trade analyst and film critic Ramesh Bala tweeted.
2.0 is a science fiction and it is originally being made in Hindi and Tamil. Akshay will be seen playing the role of an antagonist in the film. Apart from Khiladi Kumar, Rajinikanth, the movie also features Amy Jackson.
There are many reasons for the fans to get excited for the film. Akshay and Rajini’s collaboration being one of them. It is yet to be seen if the film manages to earn good amount at the box office.
Touted as one one of the most expensive films of the Indian cinema, a whopping Rs 40 crore are being spent only on the film’s promotions, reports suggest.
2.0 is a sequel to Enthiran, which also features Sudhanshu Pandey and Adil Hussain. Akshay Kumar will play an ornithologist and Rajinikanth will be seen as a scientist and a robot in 2.0.
