Megastar Rajinikanth recently got himself injured on the sets of his upcoming movie ‘2.0’ in Chennai.
The Thalaiva star suffered a minor injury on his leg after he fell down while shooting for a scene at a location in the outskirts of the city.
Rajinikanth was rushed to Chettinad Hospital near Kelambakkam, where he was given immediate medical treatment and was sent home with a suture on his leg.
“The actor was in the hospital for half an hour from around 8:45 pm. The minor injury was dressed and he returned fine”, an official from the hospital told a leading daily.
On the other hand, Rajinikanth’s spokesperson Riaz Ahmed also confirmed the news of the superstar’s well being on micro-blogging site.
Riaz retweeted a video that featured Rajinikanth walking out of his walking van.
According to the media reports, the superstar has resumed the shooting of ‘2.0’.
Notably, ‘2.0’ is the sequel of Rajinikanth’s super hit movie ‘Robot’ which was released in 2010.
The much touted sequel will have Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar as the lead antagonist, who will be making his Tollywood debut with ‘2.0’.
Besides, ‘2.0’ also features Amy Jackshon opposite Rajinikanth.
Interestingly, the much awaited movie is said to be made with huge budget of Rs. 400 crore and is expected to have a successful run at the box office.
Helmed by veteran filmmaker Shankar, ‘2.0’ is speculated to hit the screens on Diwali next year.
