The wait is finally over! Rajinikanth's 164th film will be titled Kaala, and the entire nation is abuzz with the revelation. The name also carries a subtitle Karikaalan, which is believed to be an intriguing reference to the Chola King who ruled during the Sangam Period.
The makers of Rajinikanth’s Kaala movie is creating a new trend of releasing the movie title on Twitter. As promised, Dhanush announced the name on his Twitter handle and revealed that the title of the movie will be Kaala. Revealing the poster, Dhanush wrote, “Wunderbar films presents .. superstar Rajinikanth in and as #thalaivar164.”
This is the first time that Rajinikanth and Dhanush are working together. As per the reports, Huma Qureshi has been signed to play the female lead in the flick. The rest of the cast is yet to be revealed but the interest in Rajinkanth’s next film is at an all-time high.

The title indicates that the characterization of Rajinikanth would be that of a ferocious don and could have some riveting action in order to justify the title. The caption, however, is seen as Karikaalan, which is the name of a Chola King who ruled in Southern India during the Sangam period.
The title of the movie is designed in red with a black backdrop. Black denotes the negative shade and red can be associated with blood. Seems a roller coaster raw action movie is on the way.
Kabaali director PA Ranjith will be directing the movie and Dhanush will be producing the new project under Wunderbar Films banner.
