The trailer of Ajay Devgn’s forthcoming film Rail dropped on the platform today. Ajay can be seen fighting corruption as an Income Tax Officer in the trailer. Ajay in the character of Amay Patnaik in Raid will also remind you of his role Singham. Though, he is not seen donning any uniform in Raid, but his similar Singham shades and tough officer’s personality showed a bit of resemblance in both his characters.
The story of Raid is basically based on one of the popular high-profile Income Tax raids of the country. In the 1-minute long trailer, Ajay can be seen fighting hard to teach lessons to the goons (character played by Saurabh Shukla).
The film is based on the popular raid of Lucknow and the Income Tax Officer Amay Patnaik (character played by Ajay) and he can be seen fighting the menace in the UP style and accent.
In the film Ileana D’Cruz will be seen essaying the character of Ajay’s wife in the film, who is always by his side in tough times.
Raid is set in the 1980s Uttar Pradesh. Ajay’s film is written by Ritesh Shah and is produced by Kumar Mangat and Bhushan Kumar.
Director of Raid Raj Kumar Gupta talking about his film earlier said, “Raid is a story that needs to be told on the big screen. I am looking forward to my collaboration with Ajay sir, Bhushanji, Kumarji and Abhishek on this film.”
