With the kind of amazing reviews that Ajay Devgn, Saurabh Shukla, Ileana D’Cruz starrer Raid fetched from critics, fans and celebs, this was expected. The film that opened to a massive Rs 10.04 crore on day 1, has now crossed the Rs 50 crore mark. Raid opened across 3,400 screen in India and is also the third highest opener of the year 2018 after Padmaavat and Padman.

“#Raid maintains the momentum... Crosses 50 cr mark... Is eyeing an IMPRESSIVE Week 1 total... Fri 10.04 cr, Sat 13.86 cr, Sun 17.11 cr, Mon 6.26 cr, Tue 5.76 cr. Total: ₹ 53.03 cr. India biz”, Trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh wrote.

Ajay Devgn’s Raid might have become the second film in the list of top 5 movies on the basis of the opening weekend collection, but it has earned relatively low as compared to Devgn’s Baadshaho that was released six months back. Baadshaho had collected Rs. 43.30 crore in its opening weekend. While Baadshaaho had earned Rs 64.14 crore and had a Rs 78.1 crore lifetime collection, only time will tell that whether Raid manages to surpass it.

With powerful dialogues, Ajay Devgn’s intense acting and Saurabh Shukla’s path-breaking performance, the film has shown a massive growth at the domestic Box Office. Although Raid was a solo release last Friday, Raid will face competition from Luv Ranjan’s Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, which has now entered the coveted Rs 100 crore club and counting.
