The box office battle between Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Raees’ and Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Kaabil’ is still going strong. Clearly, ‘Raees’ is emerging as the winner of the battle. The movie has earned Rs 75.44 crore till now. On the other hand, Hrithik Roshan starrer has minted Rs 52.41 crore.
‘Raees’ collected Rs 13.11 crore on Friday and Rs 15.61 crore on Saturday whereas ‘Kaabil’ fetched Rs 9.77 crore and Rs 13.54 crore on the mentioned days respectively. The margin between the collections of movies further reduced on Saturday. This can definitely be a good news for the makers of ‘Kaabil’.
The Shah Rukh Khan starrer got a bumper opening of Rs 20.42 crore whereas Hrithik’s film earned Rs 10.43 crore on its opening day. The collection of both the movies witnessed rise on their second day owing to the Republic Day holiday.
‘Raees’ earned a whopping amount of Rs 26.30 on its second day and ‘Kaabil’ also did a decent business of Rs 18.67 crore. In the coming days the numbers are expected to increase.
Shah Rukh played the role of a bootlegger in ‘Raees’ and Pakistani actress Mahira Khan was seen as his love interest. ‘Kaabil’ featured Hrithik Roshan and Yami Gautam as visually impaired people. Both the movies released on January 25.
