May is here and many big projects like 102 Not Out and Raazi are all set to hit the screens. Last month has not been great when it comes to box office collection. Now, it is yet to be seen if the upcoming films manage to woo the cinema lovers. Have a look at the movies that are releasing this month.
Omerta
The movie marks the reunion of Hansal Mehta and actor Rajkummar Rao. It is based on terrorist Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh. It is all set to hit the screens on May and will fight the box office battle with 102 Not Out.
102 Not Out
The movie features veteran actors Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor in pivotal roles. The trailer looked impressive. Directed by Umesh Shukla, the movie is all set to hit the screens on May 4.
Raazi
The Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal starrer Raazi is one of the most anticipated films of the year. The Meghna Gulzar film is based on a real-life story dating back to 1971 Indo-Pak war which makes the film more intriguing than anything else. The story revolves around Alia Bhatt's character Sehmat who gets married to a Pakistani officer played by Vicky only to become ears and eyes of India. The naive girl becomes an Indian spy on the order of her father played by Ranjit Kapur. There is love, betrayal and patriotism in the film. Raazi is set to release on 11 May.
Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran
Starring John Abraham and Diana Penty, Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran chronicles the 1998 nuclear tests that the Indian government carried out in Pokran, Rajasthan that allowed India to declare itself a nuclear state. The film is slated to hit the cinemas on 25 May.
