The reincarnation love story with amazing sound tracks had hit the theatres in India this Friday. It features Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon in the lead roles. Amid much controversies regarding plagiarism case, the film managed to perform fairly on its opening day. However, the critic reviews of the film aren’t that impressive. The second day box office collection of the flick is out. It managed to rake in Rs. 10.72 crore on the second day, according to the latest box office figures. On its first day, Raabta earned Rs 5.61 crore. The movie suffered a dipping trend on Saturday and managed to earn only 5.11 crore making the total earning Rs. 1072 crore.
Raabta was made on a huge budget of Rs. 35 crore by director Dinesh Vijan and it had an edge over the other film that released this weekend, Behen Hogi Teri. But the critic reactions and earnings indicates very low chances of this film being a success at BO. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh reviewed this film to be ‘Terrible’ and having ‘Bad Direction’.
Although, many celebs went on praising the lead actor, Sushant Singh Rajput for his acting skills. Sushant has already been praised multiple times for his acting prowess. The chemistry between Sushant and Kriti was amazing as per the audience and celebs’ reactions. The duo is said to be dating in real life as well. But they haven’t yet come out publicly regarding their relationship status.
Raabta portrays the story wrapped with unfinished business of previous life, love, war and separation. Neerja actor Jim Sarbh plays an antagonist in the film. As a charming bloke Shiv, Sushant woos with his style. It was him, who made even the cheesy pick-up lines and not-so-funny jokes look good. He wonderfully played the character of self-obsessed boy who thinks he is an asset to ladies. On the other hand, Kriti Sanon looked lovely and yes, the chemistry between the two is just bang on.
