After becoming one of the highest paid actresses of Bollywood, Deepika Padukone is all set to carve her niche in the west. The lady made her debut on ‘The Ellen Show’ to promote her Hollywood flick ‘xXx: Return of Xander Cage’. Though her chemistry with co-star Vin Diesel was the heating topic but the dimpled beauty proudly talked about her father and former badminton player Prakash Padukone on the show.
On being asked about her father’s badminton career, Deepika smiled ear to ear and stated that he chose the profession when most of the people in India wanted to become a doctor or a lawyer. She further added that when her father started playing the sport nobody played professional badminton.
The actress also revealed the story of her portfolio. Deepika stated that she borrowed Rs 10,000 from her mother to shoot a portfolio saying that she would make them proud one day.
Well, needless to say from making her debut opposite superstar Shah Rukh Khan in ‘Om Shanti Om’ in 2008 to bagging a role opposite Vin Diesel in ‘xXx: Return of Xander Cage’, the lady has come a long way.
The Bollywood diva also talked about Vin and said that in her head she thinks that they live together and have babies.
On a related note, ‘xXx: Return of Xander Cage’ released last Friday in India. In rest of the countries the flick will hit the screens on January 20.
