The woman of the hour Priyanka Chopra has started shooting for her next Bollywood film titled The Sky is Pink. The actress, who grabbed spotlight after exit from Salman Khan starrer Bharat, took to Instagram to share an image from the film’s shooting with co-stars Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim. The Sky is Pink, directed by Shonali Bose, is based on Aisha’s life and her book My Little Epiphanies. Priyanka and Farhan will play her parents’ role. Zaira Wasim will be portraying Aisha’s role in the film.
Taking to her Instagram account, Priyanka Chopra shared the happy picture with a caption that read, “I’m so excited and happy about today..Some stories just need to be told. In the spirit of Aisha Chaudhry and her incredible parents Aditi and Niren we bring you our tentatively titled super special project The Sky is pink. Going on floors today. God Speed”.
Sharing another picture, trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote, ‘Filming begins today... Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim movie [not titled yet] will be filmed in Mumbai, Delhi, London and Andaman... Directed by Shonali Bose... Produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur and Ronnie Screwvala... Dialogue by Juhi Chaturvedi... Music by Pritam”.
Priyanka Chopra and Farhan Akhtar had earlier worked together in Zoya Akhtar’s Dil Dhadakne Do. Before Dil Dhadakne Do, Priyanka collaborated with Farhan for Don and Don 2, which the actor directed and produced via his banner Excel Entertainment, said a statement.
Priyanka had recently shared a photo on Instagram with a caption, “And it begins #prep #hindimovie”.
Director Shonali Bose’s last outing was the critically acclaimed Margarita with a Straw starring Kalki Koechlin. The film won many awards at various film festivals.
“This is an absolutely true story and very close to my heart. I’m having a mind blowing time workshopping with my incredible cast,” Shonali was quoted as saying to a leading daily.
