Actress Priyanka Chopra’s journey to becoming a global star started today, exactly 16 years ago. It was on November 30, 2000 that she was crowned Miss World and there has been looking back for her since.
The Desi Girl took to Twitter to remember the important day that changed her life. She said that her 18 year old version wasn’t even aware of what she was getting into at that time.

After becoming one of the most sought after actresses of Bollywood, she started her journey to the West. She became the first Indian diva to be the principle character of a US series ‘Quantico’. Priyanka became a regular attendee of red carpets in Hollywood proving she has made it to the crème layer there. She will soon be seen playing the antagonist Victoria Leeds in ‘Baywatch’.
Apart from acting, Priyanka also launched her own production house Purple Pebble Pictures. The company aims at producing small budget movies and promoting new talent.
