New Delhi: Television actress Pratyusha Banerjee’s death at the young age of 24 stunned one and all. She shot to stardom with her role of Anandi in ‘Balika Vadhu’ was found hanging from the fan at her Goregaon residence in Mumbai on Friday.
The demise of the cheery girl took tinsel town aback.
Her boyfriend Rahul Raj, who owns a production house, is being questioned by the cops.
Pratyusha had got in touch with designer Rohit Verma and asked him to stitch her wedding lehenga. Speaking to India TV, Rohit said,
“On 17th March, Pratyusha rang me up and asked me to design her wedding lehenga. I said fine let’s meet in Mumbai. She met me on 28th March to discuss the design and said she wants the dress in coral hue.”
Rohit added,
“When I asked her when is the wedding she said ‘I will surprise everyone. You just keep the lehenga ready; I will come to collect in anytime.’” The designer also said that she was about to come on 2nd or 3rd April to give further instructions about the lehenga.
Pratyusha’s death has been shrouded in mystery. Her close friends told media that she was suspicious of Rahul’s intentions.

“Pratyusha had called up a friend on Friday to ask a few things about Rahul's ex-girlfriend. She suspected Rahul was cheating on her. Pratyusha was depressed as she wasn't finding any work and cash was drying up,”
a friend was quoted by a leading daily.
Actors Anup Soni, Meghna Naidu, Gurmeet Chaudhary , Debina Bonerjee, Sara Khan, Jay Bhanushhali, Sachin Shroff, Ajay Chaudhary , Smita Bansal, Rakhi Sawant and Bindra reached Kokilaben Ambani Hospital, where she was declared dead by doctors.

Twitter saw an outpouring of messages after her death news broke. Pratyusha hailed from Jamshedpur and her parents reached Mumbai this morning.
