Actor Prabhas, who is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’ underwent hardcore training for almost four years to get two different physiques for his characters Baahubali and Shivudu. The actor was trained by professional bodybuilder Lakshman Reddy, who revealed that Prabha’s body fluctuated for almost four years for the characters he played in the film.
Reddy revealed to a leading daily that Prabhas’s training and diet for ‘Baahubali’ and ‘Baahubali 2’ were different. He stated that the actor was on a strict diet plan and used to do rigorous exercises adding that he was very dedicated towards his work. He further stated that even after performing stunts, Prabhas never used to miss workout sessions.
Lakshman, who was the winner of Mr World 2010 pageant further said that Prabhas used to have eight meals a day and ate cheese and mutton to get a muscular look for ‘Baahubali’.
The actor weighed 100 kg to play Amarendra Baahubali and had to look lean on screen to play Shivudu. Thus, his body kept fluctuating for almost four years.
It is worthy to mention that Prabhas gave four years of his career to ‘Baahubali’. He didn’t take any project in between.
‘Baahubali: The Beginning’ received great response from the audience and even earned good numbers at the box office.
The trailer of its second instalment ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’ was released recently and became the most viewed trailer of the year. It promised a bigger and better film.
Directed by S. S. Rajamouli, ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’ is slated to release on April 28.
