After the phenomenal success of SS Rajamouli’s 2015 release ‘Baahubali’, here comes another good news for the team.

The lead actor of the movie Prabhas, who played the role of Amarendra and won several accolades, will soon be getting his wax statue installed at Madam Tussauds museum in Bangkok.

Interestingly, he will be the first south Indian actor to be honoured with a wax statue. In fact, he will also be the third Indian to feature at Madame Tussauds Bangkok. Earlier, the museum features the figures of Mahatma Gandhi and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The news was announced by Rajamouli who took it to micro-blogging site Twitter and wrote, “Very happy to announce that Madame Tussauds is making a wax statue of our PRABHAS”.

Prabhas’ waxstatue is being created on the request of his millions fans across the world post the success of ‘Baahubali’.

Noppadon Prapimpunt, who happens to be the General Manager of Madame Tussauds Bangkok, was all praises for the actor saying that the actor is much more than his unique style and commendable onscreen presence.

“He is a superstar who fully lives up to his family legend of his father, Uppalapati Surya Narayana Raju who is a well known Tollywood (Telugu film) producer and his uncle Krishnam Raju, the famous Tollywood actor and politician," Prapimpunt added.

Prabhas, on the other hand, is over the moon with this honour. Speaking about his feelings, the actor said he thanked his fans for their support as it is because of them this has become possible for Prabhas. The ‘Baahubali’ actor also thanked for SS Rajamouli for giving him the opportunity to feature in his magnum opus.

Prabhas underwent a sitting in Hyderabad with Madame Tussauds artists, where 350 photographs, and measurements were taken of the star to enable a flawless recreation of his likeness. He will be depicted as his character Amarendra Baahubali and will be seen in his battle armour at Madame Tussauds Bangkok.

As per the media reports, Prabhas’ wax figure will be unveiled in March 2017 and will be placed in the museum's Movie Room, side by side with other iconic characters such as Spiderman, Wolverine, James Bond and Captain America.
