New Delhi: Seems Bollywood is quite interested in bringing the stories of cricketers on the silver screen. We already have two biopic, Azhar (of Mohammad Azharuddin) and Dhoni – The Untold Story (of Mahendra Singh Dhoni) waiting to premiere for the viewers.
And now, the life story of Sachin Tendulkar, the ‘God’ of cricket, is being made in a movie. Sachin himself unveiled the poster of the movie.
Titled Sachin: A billion dreams, the movie’s teaser will be released on 14th April.

To ease your anxiety we have some details about the movie. The biggest one is that Sachin Tendulkar will be a part of his own biopic.
This is great news for all his fans as after his retirement any look of his is soothing.
The movie is being made by Mumbai-based production company 200 Not Out, according to media reports. They have over 150 advertisements and short films to their credit and they bagged the rights to make the film from World Sports Group (WSG). What’s more? James Erskine, a London-based award wining writer, director and producer will helm the movie.
To lend an authentic tinge to the movie, the makers have roped in personalities from around the globe to contribute in it.Not only this, they are getting in touch with cricket boards from across the world to get unseen footage of Sachin playing.
Apparently, the makers were not interested in making just a biopic on Sachin, so they took permission from the cricketer who has done India proud on many occasions, to make a feature film.
The movie will not only portray the extraordinary rise of Sachin, but also tell hidden tales of his life.
