Dangal actress Sanya Malhotra's second film - Pataakha - which also stars Radhika Madan, showed positive trending on Saturday, trade analyst Taran Adarsh reported. However, he also stated that the movie has to recover lost ground by maintaining a strong momentum on Day 3 and subsequent days. Pataakha, directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, earned Rs. 90 lakh on Day 1. It released across 875 screens in India and clashed at the box office with Anushka Sharma and Varun Dhawan's much-awaited film Sui Dhaaga.

'Pataakha' is primarily an adaptation of Charan Singh Pathik's short story titled 'Do Behnein'. It is directed and produced and written by Vishal Bhardwaj. Actor-comedian Sunil Grover and Vijay Raaz also play pivotal roles in the film.
After Dangal, Pataakha was Sanya's second Bollywood flick. She would be next seen in an interesting romantic comedy 'Badhaai Ho' alongside actor Ayushmann Khurana. The film has an intriguing storyline and also stars veteran actress Neena Gupta in the lead role.
Pataakha is a comedy-drama about two sisters, Badki and Chhutki and, is based on an acclaimed short-story by renowned writer Charan Singh Pathik. Featuring Sanya Malhotra, Radhika Madan, Sunil Grover and Vijay Raaz, the film released on September 28, 2018.
